The tip top guide in the HBXARST design is made of high-quality materials using special processes in their modification, where the eye frame is made of stainless steel SS316 (Chromium nickel molybdenum steel with low carbon content up to 0.03), coated with a black-grey PVD coating (Physical Vapor Deposition), which is a coating method that is carried out in a high vacuum, where a metal, e.g. titanium, is converted into a vapor state and, by adding a reaction gas, a thin, hard and extremely strong and adherent coating is then formed on the surface of the eyelet frame (eg TiN = titanium nitride). Such a surface is very resistant to wear compared to standard processes such as electrophoretic painting (E-coat) of the eyelet frame. An extra thin ceramic ring in the RS (Silicon Nitride) design is inserted into the frame of the guide eye, whose hardness is according to Hardness (kg/mm2) 1800-2000, which means that it is extremely hard, sufficiently resistant to impact and with excellent resistance to abrasion and high temperatures. The ceramic ring is inserted into a so-called bed (DEEP DRAWN), which protects the ceramic ring from impact. The mentioned eyelet is suitable for fishing with monofilament as well as braided line. Thanks to these properties, these types of eyes are used for the construction of all types of rods, but especially carp rods.
